Help Improve Indoor Air Quality in Your Community
Wildfire smoke and dust storms can make indoor air unhealthy, even when your windows are closed. If you’re worried about how the air in your home might affect your health, a simple homemade air cleaner could help.
Researchers at the University of Colorado are partnering with community groups and residents in West Denver and the San Luis Valley to study affordable, easy-to-build DIY air cleaners. The project aims to determine whether these air cleaners can reduce indoor air pollution and improve health, particularly during wildfires and dust storms.
About the Study
This two-year research project explores how DIY air cleaners can change indoor air quality, exposure to pollutants, and both physical and mental health.
